Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will bring a strong trade background and a proactive, safety-focused approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on pipework, drainage, and all plumbing systems across the site.
  • Troubleshoot issues, diagnose faults, and perform effective repairs.
  • Carry out regular servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and extend lifespan.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, taking action to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation tools.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to analyse failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of industrial equipment as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to enhance maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Licences

  • Relevant trade qualifications with a current Plumbing Licence (essential)
  • Sound knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
  • Manual Driver’s Licence (essential)
  • Backflow prevention testing certification (desirable, but not essential)

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in a similar role; FMCG industry experience is a bonus
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and WHS compliance
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently
  • Willingness to share knowledge with team members, supervisors, and plant managers
