About The Role:

John Holland are seeking an experienced and qualified Plant Electrician to join their WA Rail Plant Team. This role will see you gain experience providing specialised electrical services working on a variety of heavy, mid range & small plant and equipment.

Previous experience working on mobile plant and other rail specific plant is preferred but not essential as in-house training is provided.

This role will be workshop based in Welshpool with planned and adhoc remote field support for John Holland’s rail projects across Western Australia from Esperance to Port Hedland and everywhere in between. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain various items of Rail resurfacing Equipment, mid range & small plant and earthmoving equipment 
• Carry out services, schedule maintenance and repairs 
• Machine fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams
• Work off technical drawings & electrical schematics.
• Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Auto Electrical Trade certificate/s or WA Licensed Electrician.
• Current Construction Industry Induction card (White/Blue)
• Valid C-class drivers licence (MR/HR Truck Licence Preferred)
• A great attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety

Desirable:

• Proven and demonstrated experience maintaining mobile plant and/or rail maintenance equipment
• HR Truck Drivers Licence
• Current Rail Industry Worker card
