Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for an ongoing workshop based role in Brisbane.
 
Working with a reputable engineering and fabrication business, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used across a variety of industrial projects.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable long term work with consistent hours and a supportive team environment.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE

• Mechanical assembly and installation of equipment
• Maintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves and gearboxes
• Alignment of mechanical components and rotating equipment
• Fault finding and equipment repairs
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Pipe fitting and flange assembly work as required
• General workshop fitting activities
• Operating hand and power tools
• Maintaining quality, safety and production standards
• Working effectively within a team environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Previous workshop or industrial maintenance experience
• Experience working on pumps, valves, gearboxes and rotating equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault finding skills
• Pipe fitting experience highly regarded
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team

DESIRABLE

• Forklift Licence
• EWP Licence
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Experience within manufacturing, mining, oil and gas or heavy industry environments
