The Opportunity

The Pipe Fitter role involves the fit up and welding of spools and spool assemblies according to drawing / WPS and or site requirements within a workshop environment or on vessel.  Pressure testing and some system pre-commissioning activities will also be conducted on vessel. In addition to above all work is to be carried out in accordance with safe working practices including producing, installing, and inspecting work to the required quality standards, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace to reduce waste.

 

What’s involved

  • Conduct and support the delivery of Spool manufacture, assembly. Installation and pressure testing.
  • Conduct spool tacking and welding duties in accordance with WPS’s.
  • Assemble and fit marine parts e.g. valves, pumps, and general equipment.
  • Conduct work in accordance with safe working practises and install and Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy productive work environment with an aim to minimise all waste in all forms (8 wastes).

 

You’ll need

  • Hold a Construction (White Card) or willing to obtain
  • Trade Qualification – Certificate III Pipe Fitting / Mechanical Fitting
  • Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
  • Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights ticket advantageous.
  • Forklift, Dogman/Rigger license is advantageous.
