The Langham, Melbourne currently has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Shift Engineer-Trade Qualified Painter to join our Engineering Team. 

You will have the opportunity to work with the Engineering team which consists of approximately 15 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham.

This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success. The successful candidate will use their trade experience to maintain all front of house and back of house upkeep for all areas at the hotel complying with relevant Workplace Health & Safety legislation.

 

This position will suit someone who has a five star attitude and is pursuing steady diverse employment

Your responsibilities will include:

To carry out inspection and routine maintenance paint & wall papering of all guest levels including doors, door frames, corridor walls and ceilings and all guest rooms.

Be available for work outside of Ordinary Hours as required by the Hotel.

To carry out inspection and routine maintenance of all remaining Hotel areas including the car park and all external fixtures.

Involvement in the Fire and Evacuation procedures through participation in the Hotel's Emergency Response Team.

To have an appreciation of and assist with the implementation of the Preventative Maintenance system, Repair Log System and Ken Fix-It Program.

To give assistance to any Engineering Staff when required and ensure team work is maintained at all times.

Proven experience in working to tight deadlines

Ability to work well un-supervised
