Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Painter to join our team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort, the ultimate entertainment destination in the Northern Territory. • Applying paint, including special systems to walls, furniture and structures
• Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures
• Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes
• Remove previous paint by means of blasting, scraping, sanding, and steam-cleaning
• Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials i:e Plasterboard gyprock
• Patch determine, cut and apply wallpaper, plasterboard gyprock, fabric to walls
• Order paint supplies and materials obtaining manager approval
• Apply wood finishing by suitably preparing surface
• Match paint samples for touch - ups and other small projects
• Ensure all regulations, OH&S standards and safe working practices are followed.
• Comply with established departmental environmental standards and assist with development of improved methods and standards for the hotel overall.
• The recording of all maintenance tasks performed complete and incomplete including any necessary reports in reference to repairs and preventative schedules.
• To primarily perform tasks relevant to equipment and handyman duties as required.

• Industry experience post trade as a Painter and Plaster
• Sound understanding of Painting techniques and methodology of painting and construction
• Proficient in the use of power tools, battery and all hand tools that relate to maintenance tasks
• Proven experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Organizational skills, whereby you can manage multiple tasks and meet set deadlines
• Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
