About the Role PaintWise Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to carry out painting and surface preparation works across residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes, maintaining safe work practices, and contributing to the efficient completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, filling, and removing old paint or wallpaper;
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, primers, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment;
- Measure and estimate materials required for painting projects;
- Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve required colours and textures;
- Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking tape, and protective coverings;
- Carry out interior and exterior painting works to a high professional standard;
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality finishes and compliance with project specifications;
- Operate and maintain painting tools, equipment, and spray machinery safely;
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of chemicals and materials;
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, clients, and other tradespeople on-site;
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure tools and materials are properly stored;
- Assist with project scheduling and completion within required timeframes.
About You - At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Painter or in a similar role;
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation methods;
- Ability to work efficiently on residential and commercial projects;
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship;
- Ability to read and follow job specifications and instructions;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements;
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required;
- Experience using spray-painting equipment is desirable.
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $72,000 – $82,000 per annum
