Status: Maximum fixed term full-time for the duration of the apprenticeship (up to 3 years for 38 hours per week)

Salary: From $57,408 per annum pro rata + 11.5 % superannuation

Purpose:

 

We are currently offering an apprenticeship opportunity to an enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about Australian native plants and is keen to commit to undertake formal training and work in a busy retail and wholesale production nursery located in Kingsford. As a full-time apprentice working across the Nursery and Streetscape department you will complement your studies with practical experience and insight from a dedicated team of qualified tradespeople.

 

About the role: 

  • Learn from a supportive and experienced team
  • Propagate native, indigenous and exotic plants
  • Pruning, fertilising, pest and disease control, plant hygiene and irrigation of plants
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Carry out general maintenance duties
  • Ensure the nursery is safe for you and our community

About you:

  • Be willing to undertake TAFE Certificate III in Horticulture (Wholesale Nursery)
  • Desire to learn
  • Passion for horticulture, wholesale and production nursery
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Respectful, punctual and reliable
