We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Labourer - Roads to join the team. You will be responsible for effectively and efficiently undertaking labouring, plant and truck operation duties associated with maintenance and construction of Council roads, drainage, and other assets.
They will assist other Works Department staff as required, to undertake varied work in a safe and effective manner. In accordance with council policies, procedures, industry standards and legislation.
The successful applicant will have:
- Certificate III Civil Construction and/or 2 years recent experience in Civil Construction, including regular experience in working with asphalt, concrete and formwork, pipe laying to line and grade and the proven ability to read and interpret plans and design drawings.
- A well-developed understanding and knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and to adapt to a changing environment.
- Current Medium Rigid Truck "MR" Class license (or ability to obtain within 6 months of commencement), White Card, Traffic Management accreditation with current experience in using small plant and equipment, including compactors, rollers and other plant associated with road maintenance works. Further qualifications in heavy plant and machinery would be desirable.

- Traffic Management Accreditation (RIIWHS205E Control traffic with a stop-slow bat, and RIIWHS302E Implement traffic managements plans.
Position Hours: Full-Time, 76 hours fortnight.
Salary range: $59,698.27 to $62,735.52 plus superannuation
