The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.


Job Description:
The Plumbers core focus is to repair and maintain all water, sewer, and drainage systems, as well as working on Reverse Osmosis (RO) water plants and gas fitting. This role is critical for ensuring that plumbing systems on site operate efficiently and are fully compliant with industry standards and regulations.

This role will be offered on a FIFO or DIDO 2/2 Roster based at our Darlot Gold Mine Operation.

Point of hire: PERTH, WA

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, adhering to Vault Minerals' safety standards.
  • Assist the Care & Maintenance team with general maintenance and water reticulation infrastructure on site.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of water, sewer, and drainage systems across the mine site.
  • Maintain and repair RO water plants, ensuring that water treatment processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform regular inspections of plumbing systems to proactively detect issues.
  • Carry out gas fitting work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of gas systems in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades and teams on site to ensure plumbing systems integrate seamlessly with other infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records for all systems under your care.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and fault finding in complex plumbing systems, including both manual and automated systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

 

Key factors to your success include:

  • Trade qualifications – Plumbing (Australian recognised)
  • Ability to work in both workshop and site environments.
  • Current and Valid Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Australian Working Rights
  • WA Gas Fitting Licence (desirable)
  • RO Water Plant experience (desirable)
  • Senior First Aid certificate (Desirable)
