We are urgently seeking Mechanical Fitters to support our team during an essential power station outage. This is your chance to play a key role in maintaining critical power generation equipment, ensuring its reliable and efficient operation.
As a Mechanical Turbine Fitter, you'll specialise in the precision maintenance and repair of a steam powered turbine to uphold the plant's operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Performing fitting and measuring tasks with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Carrying out multi-shaft alignments using both dial gauges and laser alignment tools.
Executing bearing fitting, including blue checks to ensure proper alignment and performance.
Following flange management procedures to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
Using Hy-torc tools for precise torque application on critical fasteners.
Operating bolt heating equipment and performing bolt stretch measurements during assembly/disassembly.
Conducting repairs and inspections according to turbine-specific parts and procedures
Identifying and solving problems efficiently to keep the outage on track while maintaining quality.
Documenting all work processes and findings to meet operational and safety requirements.
About You
· Mechanical Trade Certificate.
· Experience with steam turbines is preferable.
Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve technical challenges swiftly.
Strong attention to detail in assembling, maintaining, and inspecting critical turbine components.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
