We are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Tradesperson to join our dynamic team in Kelmscott. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding tasks across a range of sites. As part of the team, you’ll travel extensively within the region and contribute to after-hours roster coverage.

The role will involve:

  • Assisting with the monitoring, operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment and conveyance assets, including but not limited to pumps, piping, manual or actuated valves and hydraulic systems
  • Delivering a planned work program and contributing to asset improvements
  • Fault finding on a variety of plant and equipment
  • Travel to various sites between Quinns Rock and Harvey, with a focus south of the river
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours coverage roster

Desirable skills and experience

  • Qualified Mechanical Tradesperson
  • Able to perform basic machining and welding
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements including hazard identification
  • Current W.A ‘C’ Class driver’s license, regular travel needed and capable of driving up to 1 hour to and from job sites
  • Blue/White Card
  • Current High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) or Basic Rigging (RB)
  • Experience and tickets for Confined Space and Working at Heights
  • South of the river residence is preferred for proximity to key work areas
  • Ability to confidently use or learn personal electronic devices for task management
  • Proactive approach to unfamiliar tasks, with the ability to problem-solve and adapt as required, willingness to learn

This challenging role requires a proactive, organised candidate with high attention to detail who can work both autonomously or in a team environment.
