Mechanical Technician at Coke Plant 2

Location: Port Kembla, Wollongong




About the Role: 

Ventia Wollongong requires a Mechanical Technician to join our team at Coke Plant 2. This role focuses on applying asset management strategies and executing maintenance activities safely and efficiently.


 


Key Responsibilities:




•    Conduct regular plant and equipment inspections.

•    Enhance equipment reliability through technical expertise.

•    Plan and execute corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.

•    Utilize digital systems to improve inspection accuracy.

•    Monitor plant condition for maintenance planning.

•    Provide relief cover for Equipment Specialists.

•    Supervise maintenance activities.

•    Ensure availability of key spares and components.

•    Assist in developing and reviewing maintenance plans and strategies.

•    Mentor Core Team, apprentices, and operational staff.

•    Meet HRF requirements for the area.


 


Requirements:




•    Relevant trade qualifications (essential).

•    Engineering Associate Diploma (desirable).

•    Strong technical aptitude (hydraulics, pneumatics, drawings).

•    Experience in equipment maintenance and strategy.

•    Understanding of maintenance management.

•    Ability to coordinate and direct work.

•    Proficiency in Word Processing and Office applications.

•    Good communication skills.

•    Experience in process service equipment maintenance.
