Job Description

Service Technician – Mechanical Trade l  Full Time  l  $45–$50 per hour

🛠️ Opportunity:

The Service Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance and repair services to support operational requirements. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability and on time across the site. The position is available due to ongoing operational growth and increasing workload.

About the Role:

• Complete daily mechanical maintenance activities in line with the maintenance plan, as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot machine components to identify causes of failure, including gathering and documenting failure evidence for further analysis when required.
• Provide guidance and support to assistants in their duties.
• Participate in special projects as required.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability at all times.
• Ensure parts are used correctly and in accordance with work order task descriptions.
• On completion of repairs, ensure all removed parts are cleaned and tagged with relevant work order information.
• Ensure all company tools are returned to designated storage areas after use.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Proactively raise improvement opportunities with the Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

🎓 Experience:

• Trade qualification in a Mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience in a mechanical maintenance or service technician role.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and diagnose faults effectively.
• Experience working to maintenance plans and work orders in an industrial or site-based environment.
• Ability to work independently while supporting and guiding assistants.
• Strong attention to detail, including accurate tagging, documentation, and parts handling.
• Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and compliance with procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with supervisors and site personnel.

💰 Benefits: Full Time $45 - $50
