Introduction


LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS Energy requires the services of part time Power Station Operator to be based in the North East Melbourne suburb of Wollert, VIC. 


As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Supervisor – Operations VIC where your role will primarily involve operating and maintaining LMS’ power stations, landfill biogas extraction systems and all associated plant and equipment on a daily basis.  LMS is seeking mechanically minded people and offers full in-house training for the right applicant. Responsibilities



  • Undertake daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting of engine(s), flare(s) and associated plant/equipment

  • Monitor and maintain LMS biogas systems and flares, including biogas field work (i.e. well readings and minor pipeline repairs)

  • Start-up and shutdown of power station/generator module(s)

  • Complete daily readings, data entry, data analysis, and reports

  • Schedule servicing and maintenance of engine(s), flare(s) and associated plant/equipment

  • Complete safety risk assessments, JSEA’s and associated paperwork

  • Perform oil sampling and analysis of results

  • Maintain cleanliness in work area, including bioenergy facility, and well stations

  • Support the VIC Operations team, including the Manager, Supervisor and fellow Operators


 Requirements:



  • A team player, great work ethic, shows initiative, resilient and committed with strong communication skills

  • Upholds LMS’ company values and culture

  • Holds a current Australian Drivers License

  • Intrastate travel will be required at times

  • Fitness for work to perform the job role safely and competently

  • Mechanical trade qualifications are desirable, but not essential, as we’re seeking mechanically minded people!
