About the role

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for all planning aspects of the Maintenance Department using the computerised maintenance management system and work planning system to ensure efficient and effective scheduling of work in the department.

 


Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent LIBERTY Bell Bay(LBB), you will provide technical support to the LBB Maintenance and Production Supervisors and develop maintenance plans ensuring LIBERTY Bell Bay maintenance key performance indicators are achieved.

 


*This full-time role will have the option to work a 9 day fortnight.

 


Duties included but not limited to:

 




  • Maintaining records of all maintenance work & ensure an orderly plan of work




  • Receipting & recording work requests, identify resources & schedule work according to priority




  • Generating weekly work schedule including tasks of either a preventative or corrective nature, ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out in a timely and effective manner with minimal effect on operational requirements of plant and equipment and their availability.




  • Scheduling maintenance priorities using shift and backlog reports.




  • Identifying resources to ensure that the LIBERTY Bell Bay maintenance key performance indicators are achieved




  • Assisting Maintenance Manager in long term maintenance plans for LIBERTY Bell Bay plant and equipment.




  • Providing technical support to other personnel to identify problem areas and determine problem causes and solutions.




  • Updating and maintaining the LIBERTY Bell Bay equipment register highlighting critical safety equipment.




  • Planning shutdowns through Microsoft Project




  • Work planning, scheduling and estimating.




 


To succeed in this position, you must have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders. Given the dynamic nature of production environments, it is also essential that you are resilient and adaptable.

 




  • Trade qualifications with at least 5 years post trade experience or Diploma of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.




  • Heavy industry experience in mining or similar ideal




  • Sound planning & organisational abilities along with rigorous commercial and business thinking to influence decision making




  • Good facilitation skills to facilitate continuous improvement within the department.




  • Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic Health, Safety and Environmental principles in and around a workplace




  • High degree of computer literacy & SAP experience (preferred)
