About the Role:


Permanent position available for an experienced Mechanical Operator. You will be working within a 24/7 shift environment with opportunities to diversify and broaden your skills. You will get the opportunity to work in varied roles within the grain industry and work with a team with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.


The position will be required to demonstrate a flexible attitude and perform a variety of duties. The position will be a shared role between the Maintenance and Operations departments and will be on a rotating day/night shift basis.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications:



  • Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker qualifications

  • Industrial installation and fault-finding experience

  • Flexibility to work day/ night shift

  • Previous experience in heavy industry

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Strong approach to safety, problem solving and decision making


The following qualifications and skills are desirable but not essential for the successful candidate:



  • Previous experience in the grain industry or similar materials handling environment

  • MSIC

  • EWP over 11 metres license

  • Working at Heights training

  • Confined Space Standby or Entry training

  • Rail Industry Safety Induction

  • Forklift license

  • Front end loader experience

  • Dogging and rigging training

  • First aid training

  • Fire warden and emergency response training
