Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters, Pipefitters, and Boilermakers for a major industrial project. Offering excellent pay, consistent hours, and long-term potential for the right candidates.

Benefits:

• Up to $56 per hour base rate, plus penalties (overtime, weekends) (Trades)
• Up to $45 per hour base rate, plus penalties (overtime, weekends) (TA's)
• 10 to 12-hour shifts, 6 to 7 days per week – plenty of overtime available
• Immediate starts available or secure a position for a later start

Scope of Work:

Initial Works:

• Demolition, strip-out, and site preparation
• Equipment disassembly and isolation
• Installation of temporary supports and access structures

Tank Refurbishment & Maintenance:

• Mechanical repairs and component change-outs on storage and process tanks
• Inspection and replacement of internal tank components (nozzles, baffles, manways, valves, etc.)
• Flange management and gasket replacement
• Removal and installation of pipe spools and structural supports
• Mechanical fit-up of new sections or inserts
• Repair or replacement of ladders, platforms, handrails, and access ways
• Shaft alignment, coupling installation, and rotating equipment removal/installation
• Use of torqueing and tensioning tools for critical bolted joints
• Basic rigging and mechanical lifting tasks during assembly/disassembly

Welding and Fabrication:

• Pad welding, patch plates, and structural repairs on tank shells, roofs, and bases
• Stick welding (primary), with potential for Flux Core processes
• Work in confined spaces and at heights in compliance with site safety protocols
• Support boilermakers and welders during fit-up and structural modification phases

Requirements:

• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
• Confined Space certification (mandatory)
• Working at Heights, Rigging, and other high-risk work licenses (highly regarded)
• Proven experience in heavy industrial or shutdown environments
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality work
