Mechanical Fitter - Water Assets (160265)

Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team and work on the Sydney Water Treatment Plant maintenance and minor projects. You will be maintaning essential infrastructure and troubleshooting a diverse range of mechanical equipment including Clarifyers, Pumping Units, Sed Tanks, Valves, etc. This is a 10 year program of works offering job stability and the opportunity for training and career progression. 

ABOUT YOU 

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade 


• Work Safely at Heights


• Enter Confined Space 


• Provide First Aid  


• Able to execute work tasks with minimal supervision.  

Desirable Skills 

• Flange Management


• Welding Experience


• Elevated Work Platform 


• Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect)


• High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) Competent in core elements required for the discipline and demonstrated experience in some site-specific tasks


• Leads reliability and performance improvements 


• Trains and coaches other staff
