Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three regional delivery consortia providing services under Sydney Water's Partnering 4 Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.


 


THE ROLE


We have an exciting growth opportunity for a Mechanical Leading Hand to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at North Head, Manly. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the mechanical construction activities on our site. You will be responsible for supervising subcontractors, leading a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in mechanical systems, strong leadership skills, and attention to detail will be critical to the successful delivery of our long-term program of works.


ABOUT YOU



  • Exposure delivering Mechanical construction works on large infrastructure projects.

  • Mechanical trade certificate.

  • Ability to provide real time solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.

  • Ability to positively influence, motivate and lead a team.

  • Can work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Continually ensure our 'zero harm' objectives are upheld by identifying and communicating potentials risks.

  • Intermediate computer literacy is essential.

  • Natural leadership tendencies including strong communication skills.
