Salaried Role, Full-time permanent, 5 days per week
The Role
Our Malanda dairy site located in tropical North Queensland, manufacturing and distributing a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 40 farms within minutes from the factory. The site currently produces around 40 million litres of product every year – operating 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Across Queensland, we proudly source milk from around 80 dairy farms in the south-east and far north and are passionate about supporting locally produced products.
Shift details:
Morning Shift: Monday 4AM - 1.30PM, Tuesday & Thursday 4AM - 11AM, Wednesday 6AM - 2PM, Friday 6AM - 1PM
Day Shift: Tuesday & Thursday 9AM - 4PM, Wednesday 6AM - 4PM, Friday 11AM - 6PM, Saturday 6AM - 10AM
Afternoon Shift: Monday 12.30PM - 22PM, Wednesday 12PM - 22PM, Tuesday & Thursday 3PM - 10PM, Friday 1PM - 8PM
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance and inspections.
Improve workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays by technical support and fault finding of mechanical issues.
Coaching and supervising operational persons and contractors on shift
Active participation in delivering small to medium scale projects
Maintain high standards in relation to Safe Work Practices
About you
Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) with industrial experience
Broad knowledge of industrial plants and equipment such as lathe and milling machines
Process improvement skills and strategic problem-solving skills
Strong technical focus, with an ability to learn and apply new concepts and continuously improve
Great attitude, reliable and proactive personality
