Mechanical Fitters | Yatala | TBM Rebuild Project | OT Available

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a specialised team based in Yatala, working on the refurbishment of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). This is a unique opportunity to be involved in large-scale equipment rebuilds with ongoing work and overtime available.
About the Role

• Based in Yatala
• Current hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Project ramp-up expected to 10-hour days in coming months
• Ongoing work with strong pipeline
• Opportunity to work on large, complex machinery

Pay Rates

• Competitive hourly rates – TBC (based on experience)
• Overtime paid at penalty rates

Scope of Work

• Refurbishment of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs)
• Disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components
• Manufacturing and modification of parts as required
• Testing and commissioning of equipment
• Completing reports and documentation
• Working collaboratively within a team environment

To Be Successful, You Will Need

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Strong experience in heavy mechanical maintenance or rebuilds
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working on large-scale machinery (highly regarded)
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test

Highly Regarded

• Experience with mining, tunnelling, or heavy industrial equipment
• Confined Space / Working at Heights
• Forklift or EWP licence
