About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter who is eager to work for industry leading company who values their team & gets the job done! The role is based out of our Darwin branch in East Arm, performing servicing, repairs and installations. You will also have the opportunity work out on-site as required (additional allowances are available to increase your take home pay $$). You must have unlimited working rights in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
• Performing strip downs, assessments, measurement, and reporting on pumps
• Undertaking maintenance & repair of pumps
• Inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage, ensuring the assessment includes scope of repairs and parts
• Connection and testing of pumping equipment
• Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner
• Accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation relevant to the role
• Undertake ad-hoc servicing, installs and repairs in the field as required
• Site installations of submersible pump packages
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Relevant Trade Certificate
• Current Driver's Licence
• Experience in submersible pump maintenance and repairs
• Assessing and scoping required repairs & parts
• Ability to read, interpret and record pressure gauge readings using specialised equipment such as micrometres, feeler gauges, dial test indicators
• Ability to read manuals, exploded diagrams, document repair notes and interpret parts information
• Able to work unsupervised with limited direction
• Ability to interpret pump curves & understand basic pumping fundamentals
Desirable
• Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries
• Experience in electric pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, duty testing
• Ability to travel to sites as required
