Opportunity
As a Mechanical Fitter at Kent, you will play a crucial role in in the assembly and installation of mechanical systems and equipment including: Compressors, Pumps, Piping, Valves, Heat Exchangers and Pressure Equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and dedication to quality workmanship.
Details / responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical components and machinery following technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify the accuracy and precision of assembled components, making necessary adjustments when needed.
- Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to mark out and measure accurately.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Keep detailed records of work performed: including Flange Management Tags, Test packs and Workpacks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with potentially hazardous materials and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
