Mechanical Fitter – Permanent Full-Time

Prime Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Australian engineering and manufacturing company specialising in heavy mechanical equipment and advanced workshop technology.
This is an opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join an experienced workshop team, working with modern CNC machinery and a range of industrial equipment in a company that values quality workmanship, safety and continuous improvement.
The Role

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on CNC and manual machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Service and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical components.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workshop efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter-Machinist or Machine Tool Fitter.
• Practical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with CNC or manual machine tool maintenance is highly regarded.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, safety and teamwork.

What's on Offer?

• Location: Kewdale, WA.
• Excellent salary based on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, plus overtime when available with applicable penalty rates.
