About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Product & Production Support team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a global engineering environment, supporting products throughout their lifecycle while contributing to future product development initiatives.
About the Role
This position is primarily focused on Product Support, ensuring the ongoing performance, reliability, and compliance of products currently in production and in service. Working closely with international teams, you will provide technical support to manufacturing and repair operations while collaborating with local design engineers on engineering improvements and new development projects.
Reporting locally to the Hardware Manager, you will also work closely with global stakeholders across Australia, the United States, and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing and repair operations, including quality investigations, design updates, and component obsolescence management.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical and engineering issues affecting products currently in service with international customers.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Prepare, update, and release engineering drawings and documentation while maintaining configuration control and compliance requirements.
- Manage engineering changes in accordance with established change management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product improvements and new product development activities.
- Liaise with international stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and successful project outcomes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Strong experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for mechanical design and technical drawing development.
- Demonstrated experience working within a heavily regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defence, Medical Devices, or a similarly controlled engineering environment.
- A solid understanding of engineering change control, configuration management, and documentation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in fault finding and root cause investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones.
