Job Description

We are seeking a practical, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Campbellfield. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide critical technical support to our local and interstate Sales and Service teams, contributing directly to the expansion and ongoing success of the company’s screen media market.

This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to be involved in both engineering design and practical field work.

Duties 

  • Provide engineering support to interstate and local Sales, Service, Tooling and Manufacturing teams
  • Manage engineering projects autonomously from initial concept through to delivery
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality project outcomes within required timeframes
  • Create CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
  • Assist with product development across Engineering, Sales, Service and Production
  • Design new tooling and improve existing tooling libraries
  • Participate in continuous improvement of engineering standards, procedures and product performance
  • Ensuring Elastomers Australia policies and procedures are always complied to, including the strictest compliance to OH&S and QA policies both internally and externally

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in use of Solid Works (intermediate to advanced skill level) – this is a requirement
  • Have experience within the Mining and Mineral Processing Industry (or Similar Industrial/Agricultural Industry) - Desirable
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical or Project Engineering role preferred
  • Experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, Industrial or Agricultural sectors – advantageous
  • Experience with Polyurethane or Rubber materials – highly regarded
  • Have a hands on approach and ability to solve problems / take initiative - willingness to assist with maintenance work
  • Experience working in an SME environment
  • Have the ability to work autonomously whilst having good time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to travel interstate when required to conduct product inspections and / or perform servicing / maintenance work on the screen media
  • Have the desire to grow and develop within the team
