Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engineering plans, layouts and designs, supported by accurate calculations and specifications.
  • Provide drafting and estimating teams with clear information for detailed drawings, tool development, material lists and cost estimates.
  • Review and check designs, materials and equipment to ensure full compliance with specifications.
  • Assist with technical documentation including queries, quotations, contract details and other technical literature.
  • Collaborate with other discipline engineers on development work and construction activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants and commissioning teams throughout design, installation and construction phases.
  • Support project performance by monitoring design effectiveness and ensuring schedule, budget and client KPIs are met.
  • Contribute to regular reporting on progress, resource requirements, budget vs cost, priorities and team allocations.
  • Ensure all design work undergoes proper checking and review processes.
  • Follow the engineering Change Management process to maintain design integrity.
  • Assist with estimating, budgeting, final design take‑offs (FDTs) and basic document control.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering consultancy working across mineral projects
  • Strong technical design software skills + MS Office proficiency.
  • Clear communicator, proactive and solutions focused.
