What We Offer:



  • Earning Potential: $90,000 - $115,000 including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances (inc. superannuation)

    • $36.01 - $39.76 per hour, depending on skills and experience  

    • Tool Allowance: $17.90 payable weekly

    • Attendance Allowance: $32 payable upon rostered hours worked

    • Annual Leave loading of 17.5%


  • Ongoing Training and Development: Including in-house Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher

  • Exposure to Advanced Technologies: Work on a range of vehicles, including Euro 5 & 6 technologies

  • Licence Upgrade Opportunities: Upgrade from a car licence to MR licence, with costs covered by the company

Role Responsibilities:


This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:



  • Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling, servicing the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are maintained at all times.

  • Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines

  • Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.

  • Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs while ensuring all breakdown procedures and protocols are followed.

  • Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues

  • Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties

  • Maintaining clean workshop practices

  • Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required

  • Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed


Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.


You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.

The Successful Applicant Will:



  • Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential

  • Have experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles (training provided to develop these skills)



  • Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies



  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules

  • Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement

  • Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role



  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia

  • Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State


Highly Regarded but Not Necessary:



  • Heavy vehicle diesel mechanic experience (we provide training and development)

  • Will consider licenced (MVTC) car mechanics with a minimum of 3-year post apprenticeship experience

  • Medium Rigid (MR) or above Australian drivers licence
