The Position

A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join our team in Laverton North. This role suits someone with all-round hands-on experience in maintaining site grounds, equipment, and buildings, both internally and externally for large sites.

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Monday to Friday 7 AM – 3:06 PM
  • Oxy and Arc Welding
  • Pump and hose repairs
  • Effluent treatment and discharge. Cleaning and draining of pits.
  • Gardening/landscaping and lawn maintenance, including weed control
  • Painting, internally and externally
  • Changing lights, moving and mending furniture
  • Keeping the site clean and clear of debris and using a ride on sweeper
  • Warehouse rack repairs
  • Plumbing repairs and maintenance
  • Concrete repairs
  • Minor electrical repairs
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Cleaning and replacing of filters
  • Other maintenance tasks as required

About You

  • Previous hands-on experience in a maintenance or renovations role for a large/multiple sites
  • Hold a current Australian forklift licence – minimum LF (EWP desirable)
  • Hold Trade or certificate qualifications (highly regarded)
  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Exceptional time and self-management ability
  • Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility and the ability to think on your feet)
