Food Manufacturing | Permanent Role | Dandenong
$50 – $55 per hour

An established and rapidly expanding food manufacturing business is seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Dandenong. With major plant upgrades underway and continued growth across multiple Victorian locations, this is an excellent opportunity to build long-term career stability while working on modernising equipment and systems.

This role offers hands-on involvement in maintenance, installation, and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyors, packaging lines, motors, and production equipment

  • Fault finding and repair across mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Installation, commissioning, and upgrading of plant equipment

  • Welding and fabrication work as required

  • Interpreting technical drawings and maintenance documentation

  • Working safely at heights when required

  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

  • Using maintenance management systems and basic computer applications

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent)

  • Maintenance experience within food manufacturing or similar production environments

  • Strong welding capability

  • Experience with conveyors, motors, and packaging machinery

  • Electrical experience highly regarded

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Computer literacy for maintenance systems and reporting

  • Strong problem-solving ability and commitment to safety
