About our opportunity:

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, we have an opportunity for a proactive and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Rowville.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance across the site with a focus on Tetra Pak equipment. Including the servicing and repair of bulk storage, production, processing and packaging areas, covering the entire manufacturing process and all main facilities.
  • Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes.
  • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks.
  • Strong focus on safety and safe working methods including JSAs , Risk Assessments, LOTO and permits to work.
  • Monitoring and contributing to developing new maintenance schedules for equipment, plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary;
  • Assisting in the development and training of employees as required.

About You:

  • Formal trade qualification – Fitter
  • Knowledge and experience of Tetra Pak A3 Flex, Compactflex and TBA8 is essential
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Knowledge of GMP within the food industry
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office  
  • Experience in TIG welding is desirable but not essential
