Job Description:
You will be a self-motivated individual who clearly identifies with the criticality of this role, you will possess a high mechanical and process knowledge base. This is a broad role that covers all aspects of manufacturing machinery and processes. You will play a critical role to ensure the reliability if all existing equipment within our Wodonga site operates in the most seamless manner, providing minimal interruptions to services across the site to ensure we provide quality products to our furry friends.
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) in Fitting and Turning or higher
Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food production or similar) preferred, but not essential
Mechanical fault finding and problem-solving skills
Cross functional teamwork, with open and honest communication
Ability to identify root causes and carry out continuous improvements to site safety, product quality and operational efficiency
Understanding the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations
Experience in planning and prioritising
Identify and persist in seeking effective and efficient resolution of problems using analytical and creative techniques
Able to communicate technically complex problems at different levels to ensure understanding and compliance
Responding to urgent requests for assistance from production and reliability associates along with escalating urgent issues
Maintaining a high level of communication with all stakeholders in regard to equipment condition, job progress and any issues, which may affect planned activities including logging information through Reliability systems
Support shift teams by providing follow through on technical issues and by covering shifts when required
Utilise business safety systems such as JSA's, Work Method Statements and Hot Work Permit etc. as required.
