The Opportunity

Maintenance Electricians are accountable for delivering electrical work on time, in full and to the required standard while striving for continuous improvement. The Electrician is responsible for keeping themselves and their workmates safe, as well as maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment.

  • Understanding and accepting the task.
  • Ownership and respect for tools and equipment.
  • Carrying out and completing the task in full.
  • Improving the task (initiate improvement).
  • During periods of reduced trade specific works, assist in other trade-based sectors of the business as reasonably directed.
  • Completing works within the required time frames and, if unachievable, informing Supervisor immediately.
  • Understanding, accepting, and delivering the quality standards.
  • Comply with the HSEQ standards.
  • Holding self and others accountable to the HSEQ standards.
  • Promoting a ‘safety first’ culture by assessing the risks.
  • Improving HSEQ performance.
  • Reduce waste in all its forms

 

You’ll need

Essential

  • Holds valid ‘A’ Grade Electrical License with Mechanic Endorsement (or fitter where permitted),
  • High Risk Works – EWP +11m and Working at Heights.
  • Current Low Voltage Rescue and CPR certification.
  • Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.
  • Demonstrate adequate theoretical knowledge of electrical standards and electrical systems
  • Ability to use standard tools and equipment related to the trade.
  • Possess good time management skills and ability to meet set targets.

 

Desirable

  • HR Licenses – Forklift / Confined Space
  • First Aid / EWP
  • Previous experience in Maintaining facilities and fixed plant equipment
  • Previous experience in Defence / Government.
  • Previous experience in Marine / Ship repair or Heavy Industry.
