Maintenance Electrician

Our client is Australia's largest smallgoods meat and food processing manufacturer!

We are seeking multiple, qualified Maintenance Electricians for their sites in Wacol for immediate start!

3 Vacancies in smaller factory for snack products in a cold environment with automated machinery. 

1 Fitter and 2 Electricians on a rotating roster (2 weeks of day, 2 weeks of afternoon)

THE ROLE:

• General electrical preventative maintenance and servicing
• Fault finding and troubleshooting repairs
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities

ABOUT YOU:

• Proven work experience working as a Maintenance Electrician
• Have a sense of urgency for working within a continuous manufacturing environment
• Be proactive with strong safety focus
• Good at fault finding using PLCs
• Communicate well with others
• Able to prioritise day to day tasks
• Display good housekeeping practice
• Follow all relevant policies and procedures
• Show initiative to build on cultural improvements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence
• Knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations and Standards
• Proficient with MS Outlook and SAP 
• Experience with variable speed drives and pneumatics
• Work autonomously in a team environment
