We now have an exciting opportunity for experienced Machinist to join the team on a full-time basis based in Forrestfield, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture products with a high degree of skill and abide by customer contract specifications
Ensure works are completed within the time allowed at the required quality and quantity
Ensure that all work undertaken complies with company Quality Assurance procedures and workmanship standards
Take responsibility for the output and quality of work performed
Ensure all documentation and certification is completed correctly
Display safe work practices, sound problem-solving skills, and demonstrate initiative
Demonstrate sound machining skills.
Work both unsupervised and part of a team, adhering to strict deadlines
Perform general fitting duties
Participate in rail industry-specific safe work training
This role will report to Production/Workshop and Safety Supervisor, Wheel Shop.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Be trade qualified as a mechanical fitter / Machinist.
Have a C-Class driver's licence
Have a current Forklift HRWL
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
Experience in the rail industry, especially in the maintenance of rollingstock or related components
Experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment or mobile plant and equipment
High-Risk Licence (Forklift, Dogging, Rigging and Overhead Crane)
Mechanical fitting skill
MR or HR driver’s license
Lathe experience (CNC or Manual)
Vertical borer experience
Experience with precision measurement equipment
Ability to work rostered shifts (Day and Afternoon)
