Leading Hand Formwork Carpenter

We're currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Formwork Carpenter for an upcoming project in Collie, WA.
 
Our client is a well-established fencing and infrastructure contractor delivering projects across civil, commercial and utility sectors throughout WA. This project involves working within a small crew to install and accurately set structural steel fence posts for a major infrastructure project.
 
Position Details:

• Role: Leading Hand Formwork Carpenter
• Location: Collie, WA
• Roster: 10 days on, 4 days off (10-hour days)
• Pay Rate: $55.00-$70.00/hr + Super (depending on experience)
• Start Date: 10/08/2026
• Project Duration: Until 13/09/2026 with the potential for ongoing work
• Meals & Accommodation: Provided whilst on site
• Company vehicles provided for travel to and from site

About the Role:
Working as part of a three-person crew alongside a machine operator and labourer/fencer, you'll be responsible for accurately setting out, propping and bracing steel fence posts to tight construction tolerances (within 5 mm).
 
The role requires strong attention to detail, confidence interpreting plans and taking ownership of the work on site. The project involves structural fence installation.
 
To be considered, you will have experience with:

• Leading hand or senior formwork carpentry
• Bracing and propping suspended steel
• Laser level height setting
• Construction set out and interpreting plans
• Working to strict tolerances
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to pass a medical & drug alcohol test
• Construction White Card
• Australian Driver's Licence
• National Police Clearance or willing to obtain
