Description
As a Leading Hand Electrician, you will play a key role in supporting underground mining operations by coordinating electrical maintenance and project work. Working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, you’ll lead a small team of electricians while ensuring all electrical systems, equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising and supporting a team of site electricians
  • Coordinating daily electrical tasks, breakdown response and planned maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance with site electrical standards and statutory requirements
  • Fault finding, installation and maintenance of underground and surface electrical systems
  • Providing technical guidance and promoting best practice electrical safety
  • Liaising with supervisors, engineers and contractors to deliver safe, productive outcomes


Qualifications
  • Qualified Electrician with a current electrical licence
  • Strong background in mining electrical maintenance (underground experience essential)
  • Proven leadership or Leading Hand experience
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and site onboarding requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
