We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Leading Hand Electrician to join our Bendigo Health team. Come join us now!

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Leading Hand Electrician to lead a small team and help ensure the electrical systems at Bendigo Hospital operate efficiently and safely. This hands-on role involves a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, minor works and modifications, and liaising with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Leading and coordinating a team of two electricians on site
  • Completing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical faults
  • Coordinating minor works and lifecycle upgrades
  • Managing contractor works and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to hospital standards
  • Working with Building Maintenance Systems (BMS), lighting control systems, and asset management tools

 

About You:

  • Qualified and licensed A Grade Electrician
  • Previous experience in facilities or hospital maintenance preferred
  • Experience managing teams or leading workgroups
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and OH&S regulations
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Willing to multi-skill and assist with other general maintenance duties as required
