Roebuck Estate Constructions (REC) is a part of the BIA Shared Groups that undertakes civil works on and around airport land. REC has a long-standing community connection with the town as one of the major infrastructure providers to the region that works hard with revitalising the local regional economy.

About the position

Roebuck Construction Services is excited to share an opportunity for a Labourer / Operator to join their self-motivated, high performing and friendly team in a full time, ongoing basis, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime weekend work.

This position is permanently based in Broome (not FIFO) and preference will be given to Broome community member. Candidates seeking long term employment will only be considered and accommodation is not provided.

To be eligible, candidates must have permanent working in Australia rights.

This role works autonomously to carry out civil works on and around airport land with general labouring and machine operating duties. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) is of the upmost importance and an essential key safety responsibility to ensure the safety of not only oneself but to all other people, including work colleagues around them.

About the person we seek

As the ideal candidate, you will be self-motivated individual who has a can-do attitude. You will also be a strong team player with a willingness to learn with on-the-job training.

As the successful candidate, you will have a current white card and minimum C Class driver’s licence. You will also have an ability to pass pre-employment medical screening and obtain Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) checks.

Candidates with current HR/ HC driver’s licence with experience operating civil construction machinery such as excavator, front end loader or rollers will be highly regarded. While formal qualifications are desirable, on-the-job training and support to obtain necessary certifications are available.
