The opportunity

With multiple positions available, there has never been a better time to join our team as a Labourer! 

We’re seeking energetic, reliable, and motivated Labourer’s to join our team and share our same passion for civil construction, and maintenance related projects. 

As a Labourer at PSC, you will deliver a range of civil maintenance and construction duties, working with your supervisor and team members to apply your skills to projects across the Port Stephens area. 

  • This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement such as a 9-Day Fortnight
  • Base Salary Range: $58,552 to $61,458 pa based on 38 hours / week + 11.5% superannuation + $908 adverse work conditions allowance + $2,312 retention allowance 
  • You will be starting work from Raymond Terrace or Nelson Bay Depot

  • Complete manual handling tasks and apply skills associated with civil maintenance and construction projects
  • Participate in ‘toolbox’ discussions
  • Complete asphalt labouring skills, civil maintenance and construction work
  • Erect simple formwork
  • Operate small plant items such as whipper snippers, whacker packers, mowers

Please Note: For the purpose of recruitment, the title of Labourer has been used to reflect the equivalent industry title. Internally the official title of this position is Works Hand

  • Appropriate literacy and numeracy skills to allow comprehension of worksite documentation
  • Sound civil labouring skills using manual handling techniques
  • Workcover General Construction Induction accreditation or ability to obtain prior to commencement
  • Ability to attain Safe Work Traffic Controllers Certificate and LR Driver licence after commencement if not already possessed
