Labourer – Geotechnical Projects

Location: Nimbin/Lismore| Type: Casual

Rutledge Drilling is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to support our geotechnical teams across northern NSW. This role is ideal for someone who is physically fit, enjoys hands-on outdoor work, and lives locally to the Nimbin area.

You will work alongside drilling crews and geotechnical technicians to assist with site preparation, equipment handling, and general labouring duties on slope stabilisation and civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• General site labouring, including clean-up, rubbish removal, and material handling.
• Refuel machinery/vehicles from the fuel pod using correct safety procedures.
• Assist drillers, operators, and crew as needed.
• Safely load, unload, and move tools, materials, and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free.
• Follow supervisor instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Complete basic pre-start checks and report faults or hazards.
• Help with site set-up and pack-down.
• Attend daily pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must live locally to the Nimbin/Lismore area
• White Card
• MR Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
• Telehandler ticket (Desirable)
• Legal right to work in Australia
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour in steep or uneven terrain
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
