Looking to kick-start your career in landscaping? This is your chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification while working outdoors and getting paid. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to build something you can be proud of, this opportunity is for you.

We’re partnering with a well-established host employer operating across Queensland, including Townsville. With nearly 40 years in the industry, they deliver high-quality commercial and residential landscaping services and are now looking for a motivated apprentice to join their team.

What you will be doing

As part of your 3-year Landscaping Apprenticeship, you’ll gain practical skills across a wide range of tasks, including:       

  • Soil preparation and laying turf
  • Paving and building retaining walls
  • Property and landscape maintenance
  • Operating machinery (e.g. skid steer loaders)
  • Irrigation systems, drainage and construction work
  • Garden construction, planting and renovation

What we are looking for 

You dont need experience - just the right attitude:

  • A genuine interest in working outdoors and hands on
  • Strong Awareness of workplace health and safety
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work
  • Construction White Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Manual Driver’s licence                                                        
  • Successful applicants will be required to pass an aptitude test, and a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

Community Solutions employs trainees and apprentices across Queensland and places them with host employers in real workplaces. From day one, you are supported with training, mentoring and regular check-ins to help you succeed.
