The Role

We are seeking a Plumbing Paratechnical Team Leader responsible for the assessment and support of plumbing applications across Brisbane.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and professional guidance to a team of Plumbing Paratechnical Officers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely and customer-focused services to residents, contractors, developers and other stakeholders.

As part of the Plumbing Services Leadership Team, you will oversee the assessment of domestic plumbing applications, provide technical advice to customers on plumbing legislation and standards, and drive continuous improvement across team processes and customer service delivery. You will investigate complex issues, prepare reports and procedures, and work collaboratively with internal teams and industry stakeholders to ensure consistent, efficient and compliant service outcomes.

This role is well suited to a leader who enjoys developing people, improving systems and delivering excellent customer experiences in a regulatory environment

To be successful you will have:

  • demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, mentoring and developing staff to achieve high performance and service excellence
  • demonstrated experience using TRACE approvals
  • experience applying plumbing legislation, regulations, standards and industry requirements
  • ability to lead and coordinate a team delivering plumbing application assessment and customer support services
  • well-developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • demonstrated ability to develop, implement and improve systems, procedures and workflows to achieve quality and timely outcomes
  • experience managing competing priorities and ensuring work is completed within legislated and service delivery timeframes
  • experience preparing reports, guidelines, procedures and other business documentation.
