Our Current Opportunity: Interface Engineer (Applecross, Perth)
As an Interface Engineer, you’ll be crucial in managing and coordinating design development from concept to completion, supporting the growth and development of Kerman’s industrial projects. This role bridges multiple departments and disciplines, ensuring our deliverables meet stakeholders’ quality, timeliness, and impact needs.

Key Responsibilities
Coordination:
- Act as the primary contact between different engineering teams and consultancies, promoting cohesive design development with a charismatic, courteous, and collaborative approach.
Integration:
- Collaborate with the tendering team to support bids through concept design. Work with project managers and engineers from planning through to project completion.
Planning:
- Develop and track plans for design development, regularly engaging with design consultants and vendors to ensure timely progress and productivity.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, sharing key insights and updates in a concise, easy-to-understand way.
Risk Management:
- Lead the Safety in Design process with consultants, document design progress in registers, and confidently participate in HAZID/HAZOP meetings.
Reporting:
- Ensure information flow is organised and accurate. Track, action, and distribute project information diligently.
Project Management:
- Use project management principles to anticipate necessary actions, drive outcomes, and uphold the highest quality and scope compliance standards within project timelines.
About You
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of industry experience, education, and training.
- 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry (design and site experience highly desirable).
- Experience in Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), downstream hydrocarbons, and integrated design delivery models will be highly regarded.
- Strong organisation and communication skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary projects in a fast-paced environment.
