About the role:




Our South Australian business is thriving, and as such we are on the lookout for a motivated and team focused Mechanic(auto-electrician / diesel mechanic) to join our high performing team  This role will operate, DIDO or FIFO from Adelaide to Whyalla .



As a mechanic at Orica, you will provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica’s fixed plant and mobile plant on  Site.  What you will be doing: 




  General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;

•    Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance.

•    Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);

•    Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;

•    Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;

•    Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practice.


 


What you will bring:




•    Trade certification in Heavy Road Transport or equivalent.

•    Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous.

•    Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;

•    Ability to attain a Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license

•    Previous experience working on heavy vehicles (advantageous);
