The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced HV Electrician to join our Mt Thorley Workshop team.

You’ll work across servicing, rebuilds and PDI builds on Komatsu equipment, while supporting apprentices and assisting mechanical technicians with electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

This is a 4-day, 10-hour roster, working either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, from 6:00am to 4:00pm, with overtime opportunities available.

Hourly Rate: Up to $56.43 p/h base + super + O/T
Role Located: Mount Thorley, NSW

What You’ll Be Doing

• Service, diagnose and repair electrical and HV systems on Komatsu equipment
• Complete servicing, rebuilds and PDI builds
• Perform HV isolation, testing and verification
• Diagnose faults using electrical schematics and diagnostic equipment
• Assist mechanical technicians with electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Support and train electrical apprentices
• Maintain safe, high-quality workshop standards

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology
• Experience working with mobile plant and heavy equipment
• HV experience or a willingness to complete HV training
• Fixed-plant electrical experience would be advantageous
• Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
