HSE Advisor - Major Renewable Project - QLD FIFO/DIDO

As an HSE Advisor, you'll be out on site working alongside supervisors, crews and project leaders to keep safety front of mind, support the team and help solve problems before they become incidents. You'll join a major renewable energy project from the ground up, with the backing of a permanent role and future opportunities across UGL's growing pipeline of renewable energy projects.

About the role

This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, supporting crews and working closely with operational teams. You'll partner with supervisors, contractors and project leaders to promote safe work practices, manage risk and help create a positive safety culture across the site. You'll also play an important role in inspections, investigations, audits and continuous improvement activities while supporting compliance with project and legislative requirements. Working closely with the Senior HSE Advisor and HSE Manager, you'll help ensure safety remains at the centre of everything we do.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day safety support and guidance across all site activities.

  • Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and meaningful safety conversations in the field.

  • Partner with supervisors and crews to identify and manage risks before work begins.

  • Assist with investigations, inspections, audits and corrective actions.

  • Promote a positive safety culture and support compliance with project, client and legislative requirements.

About you

  • Experience as an HSE Advisor on construction, infrastructure, renewable energy or major projects.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with people at all levels.

  • A practical, down-to-earth approach to safety and a genuine passion for supporting people in the field.

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.

  • Experience supporting investigations, risk management and continuous improvement activities.

  • Comfortable working in a site-based FIFO/DIDO environment.
