We're currently on the hunt for a hands-on, detail-focused Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join our Engineering team and help keep our hotel running smoothly behind the scenes.

What We Expect of You

• Valid Australian Working Rights is essential

• Experience in general maintenance, handyperson work, or a trade (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting)

• Competency in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, patching, and painting tasks is advantageous

• Currently holding a Trade qualifications is a plus but not required

• Previous hotel or commercial property experience is highly regarded

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

• Good communication and time management skill

   

A Glance at What You Will Do

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and talent areas

• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, silicone work, and minor equipment repairs

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption to guests

• Conduct regular property inspections and report any hazards or required repairs

• Support preventative maintenance programs and scheduled servicing

• Liaise with external contractors when required and ensure compliance with safety standards

• Ensure all work complies with WHS and hotel safety/security procedures

• Collaborate with other departments and provide discreet, professional service to guests and talent
