Council is offering a horticulture apprenticeship which is available to all ages in our parks and urban services team. If you are an early school leaver, long-term unemployed job seeker, re-entering the workforce or re-evaluating your career then this is the position to kick start your career or change your career path.
A weekly salary will be determined by your age, experience and current level of qualifications, starting from Band T1 $468.00 up to T10 $1,194.60 plus superannuation.
You will join a team of skilled professionals who will assist you to gain new skills and knowledge to care for and maintain parks and gardens in the community, this will include plant scaping, pruning and identifying health issues like pests and diseases. You will be supported with real on the job training and gain your Certificate III in Horticulture. A White Card & Drivers Licence is essential or ability to obtain. -A School Leaver is not required to have a licence but must be able to obtain a P1 licence within the first 12 months of employment.
